Hey there! 🙂 With New Year traditionally being the time for ruthless resolutions, January 2021 seems to have brought with it a new, more forgiving vibe. It has been SO refreshing to hear how many of you have chosen instead to focus on: * Being kinder to ourselves * Recognising that leaping around with a spring in our step 24/7 would be great, but is somewhat unrealistic and that being just ‘OK’ is, in fact, much more than ‘OK’ in these times! * Finding more rounded ways to look after ourselves; daily exercise, nourishing food choices, paying attention to our mental health and taking a daily moment of gratitude. |
Lockdown brings its own challenges to each of us. I personally have recognised that the 5-6pm slot is when my ‘mummy’ tank is empty. My patience has left the building after the homeschool / toddler juggle and I need to recharge.So, we have developed a new little routine, whereby ‘daddy day care’ kicks in and I retreat into my space. I create my zen, light a candle and enjoy my exercise, breath work and just tuning inwards. This means 6.05pm finds me recharged, smiling and ready for a calmer bedtime routine! No, it doesn’t always work out perfectly (usually it’s Spiderman bursting in with something very important to tell me!), but I’m learning to go with it! It’s also been inspiring to hear that so many of you are finding your own exercise routine with the On Demand Members Platform (24/7 access to our entire class library since lockdown #1).
